Located in the world-famous Everest region within the Mahalangur Himalayan range, Mera Peak offers an unforgettable combination of high-altitude trekking, mountaineering, and breathtaking Himalayan scenery.
The mountain features three main summits: Mera South (6,065 m), Mera Central (6,461 m), and Mera North (6,476 m). Our carefully designed 18-day Mera Peak Climbing itinerary leads you to the highest point, Mera North, where you’ll witness one of the most spectacular mountain panoramas on Earth.
Over the years, Mera Peak has become one of the most popular trekking peaks for aspiring climbers. It is widely regarded as the perfect introduction to Himalayan mountaineering, allowing beginners to gain valuable experience in glacier travel, rope techniques, and high-altitude climbing before attempting more technical expeditions such as Island Peak, Ama Dablam, or even Everest.
The journey begins with a scenic flight to Lukla before following a less-crowded trail through dense rhododendron forests, traditional Sherpa villages, alpine meadows, and pristine valleys. As you ascend gradually, you’ll have ample time for proper acclimatization, significantly increasing your chances of a safe and successful summit.
