Annapurna Circuit is the classic trek covering over two hundred miles circumnavigating the entire Annapurna massif. This is one of the great treks of the world offering a cross section of Nepal from lowland terraced rice fields, pine forest to the arid terrain in the Himalayan rain shadow near Muktinath. The trail starts at Besisahar and follows the Marsyangdi river through Brahmin, Chhetri and Gurung settlements to the Tibetan region of Manang. Along the trek, you will see colorful prayer flags, mani walls and monasteries. The high point is the challenging day crossing the Thorung La pass at 5,416m followed by the trek down the deep Kali Gandaki gorge located between the Annapurna and Annapurna massifs, stopping at the famous shrine of Muktinath before descending to Jomsom. After a relaxing soak in the hot springs at Tatopani we make the long climb to Ghorepani where we stay overnight then get up at sunrise for the Himalayan panoramic view point at Poon Hill. The mountain views throughout this trek encompass the highest and most beautiful in the world including Lamjung, Himalchuli, Manaslu, Annapurna, Nilgiri and Machhapuchhre. However, for trekkers who prefer a shorter trek in the same Annapurna region, then Ghorepani Poon hill trek for lets say days is ideal which will also take you to the Annapurna base camp and vice-versa.

This is the classic trek to the Annapurna Base Camp, the world’s tenth highest mountain and to an astounding viewpoint of Poon Hill. We start by taking the spectacular flight from Kathmandu to Pokhara where you will get superb views of the Himalayan mountains. Like any other trip in the Annapurna region, Annapurna Base Camp Trek begins in Pokhara, widely known as the ‘Lake city’. The trek passes through cascading waterfalls, beautiful villages, terraced farmlands, lush rhododendron forests, and amazing mountain vistas before reaching the base of the mighty Annapurna. One of the stops along the trek is Poon Hill from where we can see superb view of the Himalayan peaks of Dhaulagiri, Annapurna 1, Hiunchuli, Annapurna South and Machapuchare (known as Fishtail mountain). From here we follow the Modi Khola river through the gates of the Sanctuary into a hidden amphitheatre with a superb view of the Annapurna massif. This trek would be a good choice if you would like to get into the Himalayan mountains without the longer acclimatization period required for some of the other treks in Nepal such as Everest Base Camp. The highest altitude reached on this trek is 4,130m at Annapurna Base Camp.

This challenging trek will more than satisfy the ambitious trekker intent on crossing high passes without the commitment of any technical climbing. With our itinerary you get the opportunity to trek to both Ama Dablam Base Camp and Everest Base Camp; walk up to the summits of Kalapatar (5,554) and Gokyo Ri (5,340m) and cross two high passes Cho La and Renjo La. Heading towards Everest we cross the Kongma La to the Everest Base Camp and Kala Pattar. After taking in the classic climbing routes to the summit of Everest Base Camp we walk out over the Cho La pass into the Gokyo valley rather than retracing the same trail back to Namche as per the standard Everest Base Camp itinerary. In the morning we climb Gokyo Ri for views of the Everest massif and in the afternoon we explore the numerous glacial lakes in the area. After crossing our last pass of the Renjo La we descend into the Thame valley, one of the main trading routes with Tibet, and then walk back to Namche Bazaar and Lukla. This trek traverses the entire Everest region and provides all the highlights you would expect with a mixture of local villages and Sherpa culture. Our nights are spent in a combination of wilderness camps and our exclusive private eco campsites, as well as handpicked eco...

The Everest and Gokyo Ri Trek is an alternative journey to classical treks in the Everest region which takes us to the turquoise Gokyo Lakes and Gokyo Ri. From Gokyo Ri, you’ll see much more than Mount Everest. There are magnificent views of many of the other 8000-meter peaks from Gokyo Ri. We also get to marvel at the massive Ngozumpa Glacier- the largest in the Nepal Himalayas. Trekking around Gokyo Valley is considered a traditional trek that offers magnificent views of the mountain peaks and the Ngozumpa Glacier. The image of this region is associated with the soaring views of the most popular mountains in Nepal, at an altitude of 8000m such as Cho Oyu, Everest, Lhotse and Makalu which are clearly visible from Gokyo Ri above Gokyo Lake. One of the most remarkable features is the view of the tremendous ice ridge between Cho Oyu and Gyachung (2922m) located in Khumbu region. Gokyo Lakes and Gokyo Ri trek is for those who like to walk in the Everest region without the physical stress of reaching the base camp of Everest or crossing high passes in the vicinity. It is instead for travelers who wish to try something new in the Everest region. However, for trekkers who want to reach the base camp of the world’s tallest mountain then Everest Base Camp Trek: 16 days is...

The Everest region is the most famous area in Nepal and, perhaps, the entire Himalaya, as it is the centre for many major mountaineering expeditions. Here Himalayan giants from Everest to Ama Dablam tower above Khumbu valley, making this valley one of the world’s most magical and inspiring places to visit and trek. Mount Ama Dablam is a beautiful mountain, located almost due south of Mt. Everest and Mt. Lhotse in the Khumbu region. It is a steep pyramid of ice with vertical walls and sharp, exposed ridges. Mount Ama Dablam forms a lasting impression on many trekkers in Nepal, as it is perhaps the most stunning mountain along the popular trekking route to Everest Base Camp. We follow in the footsteps of famous mountaineers and follow a good trail from lodge to lodge through the famous Buddhist villages and monasteries of the Sherpa people while affording unparalleled views of some of the world’s highest peaks. The highlights of this trip are the days spent trekking above Namche Bazaar. A further dimension to our trek is a visit to the Sherpa villages of Khunde and Khumjung where we visit some of Sir Edmund Hillary’s projects established through the Himalayan Trust.
