This is a day to explore Kathmandu where we organise guided sightseeing to the Buddhist and Hindu sights in Kathmandu, to Kathmandu’s Durbar Square, Swayambunath – the Buddhist monkey temple and Pashupatinath – a sacred Hindu temple complex on the banks of the Bagmati River. Three major towns are located in the valley, Kathmandu, Patan and Bhaktapur, each having a great artistic and architectural tradition. Kathmandu is the capital and the largest city in the country. Patan, the second largest is separated from Kathmandu by a river. Bhaktapur, the third largest, is towards the eastern end of the valley and its relative isolation is reflected in its slower pace and more distinctly mediaeval atmosphere. In the Kathmandu Valley the landscape is dramatically sculpted by the contours of the paddy fields. The towns and villages are alive with the colours of farm produce, ranging from pyramids of golden grain to the vivid reds of chilli peppers laid out on mats to dry in the sun. In the streets and towns there is a constant bustle of activity, especially in the bazaars and markets where the farmers sell their vegetables and fruit. You should get back to the hotel after your sightseeing tour around midafternoon and the rest of the day is free for you to explore the city further and pack bags ready for the start of the trek the following morning. You can leave a bag at the hotel with items you will not need on the trek. Overnight at hotel in Kathmandu

A full rest day is well recommended in order to avoid AMS (Altitude Mountain Sickness). For those with some energy left a hike to Chhukung will reward some great views of the valley or just explore Dingboche as you wish.
Trek from Dingboche to Lobuche (4,928m/16,164ft) (5 hours walk)
After a well deserved day resting, we get up early and after breakfast we will towards Lobuche on the way we will hike through the largest memorials in the Everest region for those who lost their lives trying to stand on top of the world or simple words conquering Everest. Late afternoon we will reach Lobuche and relax for the day.
This is when AMS starts taking some effect on some people so extra careful is essential. Today is the day that we have been waiting for; base camp is just a few hours away. After breakfast we will head to Base Camp, trekking though a rocky path on the Khumbu Glacier we will reach base camp where you will have time to take some pictures and appreciate the view. If you are trekking between March and May you will get the chance to see all the commercial expeditions attempting to reach the summit, after lunch we will head back to Gorakshep to spend the night.
For some this is the highlight of the EBC trek, the day starts with hopefully a bright morning and we ascend to KalaPathar (Black rock) where you will have the privilege to get one of the best views of Mount Everest and its neighbouring peaks, get your cameras out and enjoy the view you have made it and deserve after all the hard work. We will now descend to Pheriche and where we will rest for the night.
Descending takes a lot less hours and effort and obviously AMS is no longer an issue, enjoy the passes and forest until we reach Namche once again for the overnight stay.
From previous customer’s experience, people tend to find this part of the hike the most challenging. Even though is all downwards the impact of the slopes tend to have a huge effect on the knees and after trekking for so many days people start to get tired, a very good tip use trekking poles for this section it will help you. Once we reach Lukla it is time to party. In Lukla, you can find several bars and it is good time to celebrate with your guides and trekking partners after such great adventure and achievement.
After having your breakfast it is time to board your flight back to Kathmandu, upon arrival we will pick you up at the airport and take your back to your Hotel. Evening we will host you a farewell dinner, it is time to celebrate once again and we would like to hear your feedback about your experience.
Our representative will pick you up at the hotel and transfer you to international airport for onward journey.
